At the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, the Department of Psychology at KRU initiated a roundtable discussion titled “Social Change and Mental Health.”
The aim of the event was to explore how social, economic, and cultural transformations affect an individual’s psychological well-being, to present modern approaches to maintaining mental health, and to create a platform for professional dialogue.
Four speakers — four perspectives drawn from real practice:
The event enabled students and young professionals to see the connection between psychological theory and real-world practice, and to participate in a meaningful professional discussion.
The conclusion is clear: in an era of turbulence, mental health is not a personal weakness but a shared responsibility. It must be addressed collectively — by universities, doctors, the military, and schools.
The Department of Psychology plans to continue developing this direction, strengthening cooperation with leading universities and specialized institutions of Kazakhstan in order to promote and protect the mental well-being of the population.
