Today, we are introducing the second professor from Ondokuz Mayıs University in Turkey, who has arrived at Baitursynuly University as part of international scientific cooperation.
Izzet Akça is a professor at the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture at Ondokuz Mayıs University in Turkey. At the university, he delivers lectures to students and undergraduates of the Department of Agronomy and Ecology on the subject of "Agricultural Entomology".
In the İzzet AKÇA classes, students learn various methods for monitoring and identifying insect pests, understanding their role in the ecosystem, and ways to protect crops from their impact.
The professor is also involved in conducting advanced training courses for the teaching staff on the topic of "Plant Protection". Izzet AKÇA has already gained insight into the specificities of crop cultivation in the region.
The professor expressed particular interest in the ongoing experiment with Chinese elite crops, which is being collaboratively implemented by KRU scientists and colleagues from the Northwestern University of Agriculture and Forestry (NWAFU).
