The results of the III International Botany Olympiad, held at the Academician E.A. Buketov Karaganda University, have been summed up. First-year students of the educational program 6B05101-Biology from A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University participated.
The Olympiad was held in two stages: the first stage - testing students (solving test tasks and problems), and the second stage - participants defended their projects (analysis of the regional flora).
The Olympiad was attended by 28 teams from Kazakhstan and the CIS countries. The team, consisting of students Ranis Akhmetov, Karina Ashimova, Elizaveta Maltseva, and their supervisors, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor Gulnar Sultangazina and Master of Natural Sciences, Senior Lecturer Yulia Novak, withstood the competitive trials and took 3rd place. They were awarded 3rd Degree Diplomas.
