Today, classes by Professor Peter Dolan (USA) began at Baitursynuly University.The scholar has arrived from the University of Minnesota Morris and will be teaching at our university until October 18.
PROFILE
RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Bioinformatics, data analysis, and statistical methods in biology.
At his home university in the U.S., he also carries out administrative responsibilities — overseeing quality assessment of education at the Department of Statistics and Data Science.
At Baitursynuly University, he will be teaching Computer Science students through both inspiring lectures and practical sessions.
Today marked the first lecture, during which Professor Dolan introduced the course, spoke about himself, and met our students.
Reminder: There is an active dual-degree agreement between Baitursynuly University and the University of Minnesota Morris in the Computer Science program.
Our students are already participating in this program and will soon travel to the U.S. to continue their studies as part of the dual-degree track.
