Today, the military department of Baitursynuly University accepted newcomers to the military-patriotic club "Zhanibek Tarkhan".
The club is named after the Kazakh batyr, the commander. Joining the club is an honor for our students. Today, 80 children took a solemn oath. The platoon commanders were awarded chevrons, a symbol of responsibility and dedication to the club.
The meeting was attended by distinguished guests - veterans of the war in Afghanistan and the border guard service. Vice-rector for Social and Educational Work of the KRU Nurlykhan Temirbekov wished the students to proudly bear the name of their club, to be real patriots. As the veteran Anatoly Kharchenko emphasized, "patriotism is something that you need to go through life with."
The head of the military department of the KRU, Colonel Oleg Oborin, explained that the club will carry out intensive work on military-patriotic education of young people.
By the way, our military department was founded in 2016. Today, more than 100 of our graduates are doing military service in the Ministry of Defense, the National Security Committee and other law enforcement agencies. This is a significant achievement!
