As part of the "Guest Lecture" program, the faculty of the Department of Natural Sciences at Baitursynuly University organized a series of online lectures for students of the "Geography," "Biology," and "Chemistry" educational programs, featuring professors from neighboring countries.
Professor Olga Shulgina from Moscow City Pedagogical University (Russia) delivered a lecture on "Fundamentals of Educational Tourism." The session covered the historical stages of tourism development, educational tourism as a phenomenon, and the specifics of designing tourist routes. Students showed great interest in the presentation, noting its educational and informative value, and expressed their gratitude to the speaker.
An overview lecture on the economic geography of Kazakhstan was delivered to students of the "Geography and Foreign Language" and "Geography and Educational Tourism" programs at Moscow City Pedagogical University by senior lecturer Gaukhar Baubekova from Baitursynuly University. The session covered theoretical aspects such as Kazakhstan’s geographical location, mineral resources, economic zoning, and an overview of the country’s tourism potential.
Participants of the lectures emphasized that academic collaboration between universities enriches the learning process and fosters the exchange of scientific and pedagogical experience. Cooperation under this program will continue.
