First-year students of the Baitursynuly University's Faculty of Economics and Law embarked on an engaging journey into the past.
Following the Innovation Month of the Department of Philology and Practical Linguistics, senior lecturers Gaziza Sholpanbaeva and Kuralay Irgizbaeva organized a trip to the Ibray Altynsarin Museum.
The museum houses 11,820 exhibits, including books about the writer’s life and work, personal belongings, school buildings' layouts, photos, and memoirs.
These exhibits not only reflect the life and activities of the enlightener but also illustrate development history of Kazakhstan's national education system. As the inspector of Turgai region schools, Ibray Altynsarin initiated the establishment of four central schools, two classes, five village schools, and two schools for Russian settlers' children, playing foundational role in the education of girls and artisans.
Thanks to this tour, the students learned many new details about the life and work of this prominent figure.
