Towards Transnational Education

Maqsut Narikbayev University in Astana hosted a forum focused on the challenges implementing transnational education in Kazakhstan and ensuring the quality of international programs.

The forum was initiated by the British Council. Among the participants were officials from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education, representatives of the Higher Education Development Center, UK based QAA specialists, and university faculty.

Baitursynuly University was represented by Nagima MANASBAYEVA, Head of the Department for Internationalization and Academic Mobility.

The forum focused on reshaping international education policy, promoting and fostering meaningful transnational partnerships, and enhancing of its quality in Kazakhstan.

Specifically, presented the Transnational Education Quality Assurance Framework (TNE QAF), developed by national and international experts.

This framework is designed to serve as a guide for universities, regulatory bodies, and all stakeholders involved in advancing transnational education.

Looking ahead, there are plans to integrated the framework into university practices and the national education policy.
