Today, Baitursynuly University is hosting the national extended off-site meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association in the field of engineering education titled "Engineering 4.0: Strategies, Challenges, and Partnerships."
This large-scale event brings together representatives from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, universities across Kazakhstan, employers, and international partners.
The main topic is the training of future engineers for various industries.
Representatives of major enterprises in our region are taking part in the meeting: Allur, KamLitKZ, Kia Qazaqstan, Agromash, as well as representatives of universities from the Republic and neighboring countries (such as the Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, and the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University).
Opening the meeting, the rector of Baitursynuly University, Seitbek Kuanyshbayev, emphasized the university’s strong cooperation with regional enterprises:
“We strive for our students to engage in production processes from their very first year. Our partners help us make that possible.”
Participants of the meeting stressed that only by joining efforts can educational institutions and enterprises effectively respond to modern challenges.
Gulzhan Zharasova, Deputy Chair of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry, noted that Baitursynuly University is rapidly advancing in the field of engineering training.
The discussions touched on our university's collaboration with universities in the USA and South Korea, as well as the successful operation of the university's Smart Center, which supports the development and implementation of startups.
Kairat Kazez, Deputy Head of the Public Development Department of the Kostanay Region, emphasized that modern engineers must be not only technically skilled but also proficient in foreign languages.
For instance, free Korean language courses are successfully operating at Baitursynuly University, which helps our students when applying for jobs at factories like KIA.
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Nauryzbayeva spoke in detail about the creation of an advanced engineering school based at our university.
This is an example of cooperation not only between the university and enterprises, but also with school students.
The need for early career guidance was also a topic of discussion at the meeting.
Throughout the day, participants discussed key topics in engineering education, shared successful practices and ideas, addressed challenges, and visited regional enterprises.
