Where the Future Engineers Sparks Innovation

Baitursynuly University Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Energy and IT carried out a series of initiatives as part of Panorama of Innovation 2025 event.

To review and strengthen the content of its academic programs, the faculty hosted a roundtable discussion with key employers – including Agromashholding KZ, Rostselmash Service Center, and the Agri-engineering Research and Production Center.

Industry experts offered practical suggestions to make engineering education more flexible and practice-oriented.

The department also co-organized an international online roundtable, “Modern Challenges in Engineering Education”, bringing together teachers and employers from several countries.

The initiative was led by the Department of Power Engineering at Baitursynuly University, the Chistopol branch of Kazan National Research Technical University, and Seifullin Kazakh Agri Technical University.

To promote engineering professions among school and college students, the faculty held a series of subject-specific competitions aimed at sparking interest in technical careers.

And in a recent field-based lab session at Astyk Grain Handling Equipment Plant, students gained practical experience in steel classification and industrial labeling – learning skills they’ll actually use in the field.
