On April 2, Kostanay Regional University hosted the national forum “Inclusion: The Future of Education”, dedicated to International Autism Awareness Day.
The forum was organized in partnership with “Stop autism”, a non-profit organization for parents of children with disabilities, Amanat&K educational center.
The large-scale event provided a platform for discussions, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences in parenting, development, and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
The forum began on a heartfelt note with Ailana Zhalmukhamedova, Kostanay’s first student from the special education classroom, performing the song “My Homeland – Kazakhstan”.
Seitbek Kuanyshbayev, the rector of Baitursynuly University, delivered a keynote speech on “Higher Education in the Continuous System of Inclusive Education”.
The forum brought together parents of children with special needs, teachers from schools, universities, and colleges, as well as specialists from inclusion support centers and psychological-pedagogical services. Managers from state and private institutions, development centers, local government officials, and other stakeholders also joined the event, all united by a shared commitment to building an inclusive society
Forum participants enjoyed a guided tour of the inclusive education laboratories at the Sultangazin Pedagogical Institute.
