A master class titled “Developing Research Competencies in School Students Through Artificial Intelligence” was held at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Pedagogical Institute of KRU.
The event was organized by Maria Ruleva, Senior Lecturer of the department, for third-year students of the Biology and Chemistry academic programs.
The speaker was Tölemis Zhuldizai, a biology teacher at the specialized school “Ozat,” Master of Natural Sciences, expert-level educator, and nationally certified STEAM trainer within the Jana Talap project.
Students took part in the quest “BioLab: A Journey with Artificial Intelligence.” Throughout the activity, they visited four unique “laboratories,” where each interdisciplinary task was completed using AI-based tools, including: (https://www.deepseek.com/, https://consensus.app, https://nearpod.com, https://quillbot.com).
The purpose of the event was not only to complete the tasks, but also to gain valuable experience and develop practical solutions that will become part of the students’ final projects and their personal methodological portfolios.
At the final stage of the quest, participants conducted small experiments that they will later be able to demonstrate to school students during their upcoming teaching practicum.
