This memorandum is a SIGNIFICANT step for Baitursynuly University

Baitursynuly University has signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of qualification recognition!

On May 14, 2025, Astana International University hosted a seminar on “Recognition of Qualifications and Key Digital Tools of CIMEA for Higher Education Institutions,” organized by the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education together with the National Center for Workforce Development, the National Center for Higher Education Development, and the National Erasmus+ Office.

As part of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between JSC “Center for Workforce Development” (CWD) and five universities in Kazakhstan.

On behalf of Baitursynuly University, the memorandum was signed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Elmira Nauryzbayeva.

The memorandum is aimed at strengthening cooperation between universities and the National Workforce Development Center to implement modern digital solutions in education and facilitate the recognition of professional qualifications of graduates.

Main areas of cooperation under the memorandum include:

The signing of the memorandum is an important step toward improving academic programs at Baitursynuly University and enhancing the quality of specialist training. We are confident that this partnership will give new impetus to workforce development and make our graduates more competitive in the labor market.

Universities’ cooperation with CWD includes:

  1. Developing and authoring educational courses for the Skills Enbek platform.
  2. Integrating those courses into educational programs to recognize learning outcomes, allow credit transfers, and validate micro-qualifications.
  3. Publishing courses in the framework of the “Silver University” project.

From CWD’s side: methodological support, analytics on demand, and proctoring-based testing services to assess knowledge.

Regulatory Proposal: To include the Skills Enbek platform in the official resource list—alongside Bilim Land, open.kaznu.kz, and open.kz—when evaluating candidates for the “Best University Teacher” award.
