A memorandum has been signed between Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University and Dong-Eui University of South Korea.
Dong-Eui is one of the oldest private universities of South Korea, which has a great experience in training of mechanical engineers and closely cooperates with the world-famous automobile corporation ‘Hyundai’.
KRU second-year students Beibarys BATYRGUZHIN and Temirlan SAPARBAYEV under the exchange programme studied in the South Korean Dong-Eui University in the following directions: development of unmanned vehicles, system control and practice of electrical equipment operation, development of automotive parts.
Recently the guys returned to Kostanay with certificates confirming their successful study at the Korean university.
Beibarys was given the floor at the solemn awarding ceremony. Kostanai student noted:
- It was an incredible opportunity. I immersed myself in a new culture and got a unique experience that will remain in my heart forever. Studying in South Korea gave me not only valuable knowledge, but also improved my Korean language skills. I would like to thank the faculty and staff of the university for their patience and support that helped us adapt and excel. I take away with me not only new knowledge but also warm memories that will inspire me in the future. Thank you!
Temirlan says that after studying at Dong-Eui, he is finally convinced that he wants to work in his chosen profession - mechanical engineering.
The student notes that the Korean university has all the opportunities to acquire unique practical skills during his studies. The students even assemble sports cars that take part in real races.
During the course of their studies, the guys constantly shared with Kostanay students some useful lifehacks. These tips will be very useful for students who are just about to study abroad.
By the way, Baitursynuly University has well established academic ties with Dong-Eui University. In the next academic year, 10 more students from Kostanay will be able to study in Dong-Eui. The quota for students from Baitursynuly University has been increased as a result of successful cooperation between the universities.
The plans include opening an institute of Korean language study at Baitursynuly University, a trip of representatives of the faculty of the Department of Mechanical Engineering KRU to South Korea and other joint projects.
