Fulbright grant holder Christine Hu from the USA has arrived at Baitursynuly University. This academic year she will be helping our students to improve their English language skills.
Christine Hu is from New York, graduated from Princeton University, where she studied Slavic languages and literature. She is already familiar with Kazakhstan - she studied at Nazarbayev University in Astana for six months. She knows a little Russian and wants to learn to speak Kazakh.
On arrival in Kostanay, where Christine was for the first time, the guest was warmly greeted by the Rector of Baitursynuly University Seitbek Kuanyshbayev:
‘Welcome to our university! Since this academic year we have launched a double degree programme with the University of Minnesota Morris. Therefore, your help in teaching English to students will be very helpful!’
Christine Hu also met with KRU students who want to improve their English and learn more about US culture.
