Employers presented актуальные job opportunities and engaged directly with students seeking to launch their professional careers.
The primary objective of the event was to strengthen partnerships with employers, facilitate graduate employment, and enhance practice-oriented training aligned with labor market demands.
Approximately 80 leading regional companies showcased their vacancies, including agricultural enterprises, machine-building plants, banks, media outlets, IT companies, and government institutions. Employers outlined current job openings, internship programs, and long-term career prospects within their organizations.
During the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Nauryzbayeva emphasized the university’s mission to serve as the intellectual backbone of the region, integrating science, education, and industry. She also highlighted the importance of making informed career choices for future graduates.
The region’s rapidly developing automotive sector is generating increased demand for specialists in technical maintenance, vehicle repair and operation, as well as mechanical engineering.
In this context, the Rostselmash Service Center presented seven vacancies for engineers and machine-building specialists. According to HR Manager Selbi Kalacheva, six university students completed internships at the center last year, five of whom were subsequently employed.
Employers consistently note the high level of professional training demonstrated by Baitursynuly University graduates.
The university’s strategic partner, the automotive company Allur, also presented its current vacancies. At present, the company offers eight positions and accepted résumés from nearly all interested candidates. Company representatives noted that they would contact applicants as new vacancies arise.
In addition, students reached agreements to undertake industrial and pre-graduation internships at partner enterprises.
As part of Career Connect – 2026, the event featured a presentation of the “Atlas of New Professions and Competencies of Kostanay Region.” The document highlights three key sectors of the regional economy — agriculture, mechanical engineering, and construction — industries currently undergoing structural transformation driven by the implementation of digital and automated solutions.
The adoption of artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies in production processes is reshaping the labor market and creating new technological trends.
Career Connect – 2026 proved to be an effective platform for familiarizing students with current labor market requirements, while simultaneously serving as a dynamic mechanism for cooperation between the university, employers, and other stakeholders.
