From June 6 to 10, 2022, the second block-seminar on module 2 “Crop and livestock production systems in the context of climate change” was held at the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov.
This seminar was held within the framework of the international project “Enhancement of Postgraduate Studies on Sustainable Agriculture and Future Farming Systems” SAGRIS, and partner universities KazNAIU in Almaty, KATU named after S. Seifullin in Nur-Sultan, ZKATU named after Zhangirkhan in Uralsk took part in it.
According to the seminar program, a tour of the leading laboratories of the university, an off-site training session at the enterprise of the Sadovod farm with the participation of the head of the farm Viktor Simanenko, reports of European colleagues on the topic of plant growing in the context of climate change were presented for its participants, and Gulnara Yunusova conducted a practical lesson on the topic of food waste.
At the final stage of the seminar, a round table was held with the participation of interested parties - stakeholders in the field of livestock farming, crop production and ecology: Director of Aleksandrovskoye LLP Andrey Dvurechensky, North Kazakhstan Research Institute of Agriculture LLP Daniyar Zhantleuov, General Director of the dairy farm OKhMK Farid Abitayev, representatives of Olzha Agro Ruslan Garaikhanov and AgroGenetics LLP Zhadyra Baidildina. Based on the results of the block seminar, all participants were awarded certificates for 72 hours.
