ACADEMIC VISIT FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Baitursynuly University welcomed a distinguished guest from the Czech Republic — Vitezslav Vilimek, PhD, International Relations Officer at the University of Ostrava.

Dr. Vilimek regularly visits Kazakhstan to deliver lectures and participate in academic exchange activities.

During his previous visit to Kostanay Regional University in 2020, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University and the University of Ostrava, laying the foundation for the development of long-term international academic collaboration.

As part of the current visit, Dr. Vilimek met with faculty deans and heads of academic departments. During the meeting, he presented the activities of the University of Ostrava, discussed joint educational and research projects, and outlined new opportunities for academic mobility available to KRU students and faculty members.

Over the years of cooperation, students and academic staff of the university have benefited from participation in international educational programs, professional exchange initiatives, and expanded research partnerships.

As part of his visit, the Czech scholar also conducted a series of professional development courses for the university’s academic staff on current topics in the humanities and education.
