German Ambassador to Kazakhstan Monika Iversen visited Baitursynuly University. As part of her working visit to the Kostanay region, she familiarized herself with the activities of the largest university in the region.
- "Currently, 136 ethnic Germans are studying at our university," said Baitursynuly University Rector Seitbek Kuanishbayev. "We have seven German language teachers on staff, and 432 students are studying German as a second foreign language. These students are enrolled in the 'Foreign Philology' and 'Translation Studies' programs."
Monika Iversen inquired about the demand for German language teachers in the Kostanay region. The German ambassador also discussed with the university administration issues related to academic mobility, international experience exchange, dual education, and research activities conducted at the university.
- "Thank you for the insightful conversation. After visiting your university, I wanted to become a student again!" noted the German ambassador at the end of the meeting.
