Traditionally, Knowledge Day is celebrated in Kazakhstan on the first day of autumn. Today, a festive event dedicated to this holiday took place on Ahmet Baitursynuly Square.
2600 prospective students crossed the threshold of the university for the first time. Among the new students are holders of the "Altyn Belgi" badge, winners of various Olympiads, sports competition medalists, recipients of government grants, and students studying under the "Serpіn" state program.
This year, over 50% of graduates from schools and colleges in the Kostanay region became students at the largest regional university proudly named after Ahmet Baitursynov. Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev addressed the students with words of encouragement and congratulations, along with veteran educators.
The university offers education in 140 programs. This academic year witnessed the first admission for two educational programs – preschool education and primary education, participating in the World Bank project "Strengthening the Pedagogical Potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
As the new academic year begins, the university sets new goals and tasks, with a primary focus on ensuring a high level of training for in-demand specialists.
After the formal part of the celebration, guided tours of educational buildings were conducted for freshmen, followed by meetings with teachers and student club activists. Classes will commence on Monday, September 4. Congratulations to everyone on the start of the academic year, and may there be new victories!
