Students of Ahmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University (KRU) won second prize at the national competition #SaqbolAlayaq.
The competition was held as part of educational campaigns organized by the Anti-Fraud Center and financial market participants, aimed at improving the level of cyber hygiene and financial security among first- and second-year students.
The Anti-Fraud Center is a nationwide system in Kazakhstan established by the National Bank of Kazakhstan to combat fraudulent financial transactions. It brings together banks, telecommunications operators, and law enforcement agencies to exchange data on suspicious transactions 24/7, block fraudulent activities, and protect clients.
As part of the competition, participants were required to create and publish short videos in the Instagram Reels format or TikTok videos.
Students of the Faculty of Economics and Law at KRU actively participated in the competition. This experience allowed them to apply their academic knowledge in practice and demonstrate a strong understanding of current financial fraud risks. As a result, second-year students of the Economics educational program — Erkezhan Turzhanova, Altynai Adimkhan, Aruzhan Kabylkayeva, Stanislav Fukalov, Eskendir Smailov, and Daniyar Tulemisov — were among the winners.
The official award ceremony for the winners and prize recipients took place during the Central Asia Fintech Summit in Almaty.
Congratulations to our students!
Keep reaching new heights!
