REPUBLICAN SEMINAR ON ANTI-CORRUPTION EDUCATION

The Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service) together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a republican seminar on anti-corruption education in the city of Astana, which was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University. Diana Batyrbekova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory of State and Law of the Faculty of Economics and Law of the Kostanay Regional University named after A.Baitursynuly, took part in it.

The participants of the seminar were welcomed by the Chairman of the Board of JSC "KAZGUU University named after M.S. Narikbayeva Talgat Narikbayev and Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Akerke Abylaikhan.

Then there were speakers' speeches. Head of the Department for the Formation of Anti-Corruption Culture of the Prevention Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service) Miras Kargabay spoke on the topic "Requirements of the anti-corruption legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. International anti-corruption standards," which aroused interest among the audience. He was asked questions and proposals were made to improve the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Head of the Department for Coordination of Analytical Work and Organizational and Methodological Support of the Prevention Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service) Sagynysh Ayaganova in her speech revealed the topical topic "Conflict of interest. Anti-corruption restrictions," with cases.

The importance of the seminar is confirmed by the participation of the Grace initiative coordinator from the city of Vienna (Austria) and UNODC expert Bianca Kopp, who shared her experience of implementing global initiatives for anti-corruption education with a report on "Implementation of international experience and global initiatives for anti-corruption education and youth empowerment."

Director of the School of Law and Public Administration of Narhoz University Talgat Sarsenbayev shared his experience in anti-corruption education of young people, in particular, he touched upon the urgent issue of the need to study the discipline "Fundamentals of Law and Anti-Corruption Culture", which was supported by all participants of the seminar.

The issues of anti-corruption culture and its formation were also touched upon by Associate Professor of the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ph.D. Vitaly Khan in his speech on the topic: "Frame "Anti-Corruption Culture".

And the senior teacher of KarSU. E.A. Buketova Ruslan Tokatov touched upon the issues of popularization of integrity and the formation of anti-corruption behavior in the form of practical examples, tasks, live communication with the audience, as well as issues of prevention of corruption offenses using blockchain technology.

The methodological collection "21 practical activities on anti-corruption topics for various educational programs" was presented at the seminar, which was presented by Evgeny Bedych, an employee of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Anti-Corruption Service) in Kostanay region.
