Members of the coalition provided a detailed overview of the key directions of the constitutional reform and introduced new political institutions proposed in the draft of the updated Constitution.
According to Gulmira Kapenova, the document places particular emphasis on strengthening family values and protecting the institution of the family.
She encouraged students to carefully review the draft and make an informed decision in the upcoming referendum, noting that the new Constitution will serve as a guideline for the future of the country and its younger generation.
As a legal expert, Dauren Rakhadelov elaborated on the legal provisions of the draft Constitution and the proposed amendments. He discussed innovations in the judicial system, the development of the legal profession, as well as the so-called “Miranda Law.”
The speaker also highlighted the importance of digitalization. According to him, modern trends have already been reflected in the draft Constitution, which also enshrines and protects the digital rights of citizens.
The Rector of the university, Seiitbek Kuanyshbaev, emphasized the importance of holding the referendum. According to him, times are changing and the country continues to develop, therefore it is natural that legislative reforms are also taking place.
As participants of the meeting noted, the referendum scheduled for March 15 will become the legal outcome of a broad public discussion of the draft Constitution.
The speakers encouraged young people to demonstrate civic engagement and participate in the vote, thereby contributing to the future development of Kazakhstan.
