On the eve of the Remembrance Day for the Victims of Political Repressions, a presentation of the 33-volume materials of the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Political Repression Victims (20s-50s of the 20th century) took place at the L.N. Data published in the collection are of historical value, as it includes documents from state, republican, regional, regional and district archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kostanay scientists have been collecting materials for two years.
The 18th volume of the collection includes archival materials that reveal the activities of the so-called "rebel bands" operating in Kazakhstan and the Kostanay region in 1921, 1929-1931, as well as materials highlighting state persecution on religious grounds, confiscatory policy against Kazakh bais and resettled kulaks, deportation of people to Kazakhstan and, specifically, the Kostanay region.
The published data help unveil the unknown pages of our tragic national history, giving researchers and the general public access to archival documents and drawing useful information for an objective portrayal of the past.
