Practicing veterinarians receive training at KRU

Today, at building №4, the Department of Veterinary Medicine, as part of mutual cooperation, is conducting professional development courses for veterinary doctors from the Kostanay region, based on the university's scientific and production veterinary training clinic.  32 veterinary doctors are participating. All of them are practicing doctors in departmental or private clinics.  These courses were organized at the request of the State Institution "Kostanay Region Veterinary Administration," with which the Department of Veterinary Medicine has been collaborating for many years.  Primarily, they serve as practical training bases for students.  They also actively participate in various student meetings with employers and are directly involved in developing work training programs in this field.

This course aims to enhance the qualifications of veterinary specialists in surgical methods of animal population control, as well as address current and relevant issues in veterinary service. The interest in animal population control is fueled by the adoption of the "Law on Responsible Animal Treatment" in Kazakhstan. Alexandra Tegzа, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor, and Raushan Ryshchanova, PhD, Professor, delivered lectures on organizing post-operative animal care and applying analgesics for pain relief in animals.  Further, master classes were conducted in a hybrid (offline-online) format during the course.  Almabek Nugmanov, Director of the V. Dvurechensky Agricultural Institute, Marat Aubakirov, Head of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, and Aynagul Kyshubekova, Deputy Head of the State Institution "Kostanay Region Akimat Veterinary Administration," summarized the one-day course and awarded certificates to all participants.
