The meeting between students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and attorney, retired police lieutenant colonel Talgat Yermagambetov, was organized with the support of the Justice Department of the Kostanay Region.
The purpose of the event was to enhance legal awareness and strengthen educational work among young people.
The discussion focused on the prevention of dropper activities and stalking as criminal offenses.
In his welcoming remarks, Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Historical Sciences Alibek Tabuldenov, emphasized the importance of such meetings for the professional and personal development of students.
Mr. Yermagambetov noted that since September 16, 2025, criminal liability has been introduced in Kazakhstan for dropper activities (Article 232-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: the use of bank cards to cash out funds obtained by fraud, punishable by up to seven years of imprisonment) and stalking (Article 130-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: persistent harassment and threats). Both offenses are regarded as serious violations aimed at protecting citizens from financial and psychological abuse.
The meeting was held in a constructive format. Students actively asked questions and received comprehensive answers on relevant issues, making the event truly useful, informative, and memorable.
