The extended meeting of the academic council began with positive news. Rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev awarded students of the Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly who achieved top places in the Republican competition of research works in 2023. Among them, Madina Kalieva, a student of the educational program "Russian Language and Literature," was awarded the 2nd-degree Diploma. Students Alexander Marchenko, Karakuz Makatova, Sabina Zhuldibaeva, Anel Pimicheva, and Gulderai Sagynali received 3rd-degree Diplomas in their respective fields. Additionally, associate professor status in the field of "Veterinary" was awarded to Gulzhan Chuzhebayeva, and Anton Kuvaev was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of "Agricultural Engineering and Technology."
The rector then summarized the university's collective achievements for the reporting period and outlined tasks for the academic year 2023-2024. Notably, there was an almost 16% increase in the enrollment of applicants compared to the previous year, and the number of students studying on grants also increased. Positive trends were observed in the annual rating by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken": 6 programs ranked 1st, and 23 programs improved their positions compared to the previous year. The university was also registered to conduct teacher training courses, bringing in over 40 million tenge through additional education. More than 1000 students have completed training on the international platform "Coursera," with 500 currently undergoing training.
The rector highlighted achievements in science and international cooperation, addressing both positive trends and challenges facing the university in the coming year.
