Today, Baitursynuly University hosted an informative meeting between international students and officers of the Migration Service Department of the Kostanay Regional Police.
Currently, 76 international students from Germany, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Russia, and other countries are studying at KRU.
The main purpose of the meeting was to clarify migration regulations and legal requirements that foreign students may encounter while studying in Kazakhstan.
The speakers included:
From the very beginning, Ms. Musabayeva set a friendly and open tone for the discussion:
“This is not a lecture, but a conversation. Don’t hesitate — ask any questions!”
What followed was an engaging and practical dialogue rather than a formal presentation. Students actively asked questions, and the officers provided detailed, step-by-step answers.
Some of the key topics discussed included:
What if the RVP validity period does not cover the entire academic year?
When applying, specify the exact dates and indicate a request for the full study period.
At the end of the meeting, students were reminded that for any migration-related issues they can contact the Migration Service via the 1414 hotline or reach out directly to Rabiga Musabayeva (contact details are available from faculty and administration).
The inspectors emphasized one key message:
“We are always open. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The more you know, the easier and more confidently you can live and study in Kazakhstan.”
