At the Global Level

This week, Astana is hosting the International Forum of Strategic Partners “Kazakhstan – Territory of Academic Knowledge”.

Leaders of both international and Kazakhstani universities are discussing key issues in higher education.

Baitursynuly University, led by Rector Seitbek Kuanishbaev, is actively participating in the forum.

The program is packed with plenary sessions and roundtables focusing on digitalization, academic mobility, transnational education, innovation, and technology transfer.

Experts exchanged views on building sustainable innovation ecosystems, strengthening links between science and industry, and exploring prospects for international cooperation in technology and education.

Participants also visited the YDA Industrial Park, an integrated production complex located in Astana’s Industrial Park No. 1.

Panel sessions at Coventry University Kazakhstan offered extensive insights on artificial intelligence, while presentations by representatives from European universities attracted significant attention.

Today, the forum continues with plenary sessions and the Strategic Partners Council meeting, attended by rectors, vice-rectors, heads of research institutes, accreditation authorities, and experts in science and higher education.

The forum’s outcomes reaffirm Kazakhstan’s growing role as a regional hub for academic and scientific collaboration. Strengthening strategic partnerships with leading global universities is fostering a sustainable innovation ecosystem aimed at improving education quality and developing the country’s human capital.
