"We Are Different. We Are Equal. We Are Together"

Baitursynuly University hosted the roundtable discussion "From Inclusive Culture to an Inclusive Society" as part of the V Awareness Decade, organized by the Department of Psychology and the Center for Psychology and Inclusive Education.

The decade's motto was "We Are Different. We Are Equal. We Are Together." Representatives of government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and business structures gathered to discuss the results of the work done.

The goal of the Awareness Decade has remained unchanged for the past five years—to conduct informational and educational activities aimed at fostering an inclusive culture and a non-discriminatory, tolerant attitude toward people with disabilities," said Professor of the Department of Psychology and head of the NGO "Accessible Education for Students with Disabilities," Liliya Sarkisyan. "We are delighted that our initiative continues to thrive. Year after year, more and more people join us, showing their commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.

Participants of the roundtable discussed the conditions necessary for the development of an inclusive culture and a barrier-free society, as well as proposed future initiatives.
