BEST VOLUNTEERS OF THE REGION STUDY AT KRU

The Youth Resource Center of the Kostanay Region summed up the annual "Best Volunteer" competition. The award ceremony took place at Zhastar Sarai. Volunteers were selected in eight categories: events, environmental, social, silver, emergency situations, zoovolunteerism, sports, and a healthy lifestyle.

About 50 applications were received, and only 8 of them were recognized as the best. Among them were students of KRU named after A. Baytursynuly. Artem Viskup, a 1st-year student in Mechanical Engineering, became the best in the "Sports and Healthy Lifestyle Volunteerism" category. He actively promotes a healthy lifestyle and participates in various sports events, such as mass starts in Nordic walking, half-marathons, and organizing sports competitions and fun races in a summer camp for special children.

In the "Gift a Home to Birds" campaign, he and other volunteers installed birdhouses in recreation areas. Despite being a 1st-year student, Gleb Futman has been actively combining studies with volunteer activities for 7 years. He leads the "Enkanto Volunteer Team" club he founded, with 60 volunteers participating in various local, regional, and international sports, educational, and socio-cultural events. Gleb became the best volunteer in the events category.

The annual competition aims to popularize volunteer activities among all residents and volunteer organizations of the Kostanay Region. The prize fund this year amounted to 900,000 tenge, with Artem and Gleb receiving certificates worth 100,000 tenge each. It's worth noting that the volunteer movement is actively expanding, with around 400 associations in the Kostanay Region as of today.
