In his Address to the People of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of the “Қарызсыз қоғам” project, aimed at improving financial literacy among the population. He instructed the Government to scale the initiative nationwide and expand its implementation beginning with educational institutions.
In this regard, from July 15 to 17, 2024, in Astana, the AMANAT party organized a training seminar for school, college, and university teachers on effective methods of teaching financial literacy.
The seminar featured speeches by the Speaker of the Mazhilis and Chairman of the AMANAT party, Yerlan Koshanov, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, and Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev.
Yerlan Koshanov highlighted that teachers have always been key drivers of progressive ideas in society. Therefore, it is essential for them to have a deep understanding of the new financial literacy curriculum and to effectively convey this knowledge to young people.
Representing higher education institutions of the Kostanay region, Gulnara Nurakhmetova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics and Finance at Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly, participated in the seminar. Upon completion of the training, she was awarded a Financial Literacy Trainer Certificate.
