THE NAMES OF THE HOLDERS OF STATE EDUCATIONAL GRANTS ARE KNOWN

The list of holders of educational grants for the 2024-2025 academic year has been published on social networks of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Testing Center.

In total, more than 104 thousand applications were submitted to participate in the competition for the award of educational grants, which is 10 thousand more than last year.

State grants were awarded based on the results of the final meeting of the Republican Commission, which included deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of government agencies, trade unions in the field of education, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and public organizations.

The largest competition was among applicants who chose the EP (Educational Program) "Dentistry" — 35 applicants per place.  Next are "International Relations and Diplomacy" (11 people), "Physical Education teacher training" (10 people), "Translation" and "Psychology" (9 people).

Among the applicants there are more than 22 thousand applicants with a preferential right in case of equality of points, namely, holders of the badge "Altyn Belgi", winners of international and republican Olympiads, excellent students. In addition, quotas for children from socially vulnerable categories are taken into account in the allocation of grants.

University admissions will be completed by August 25 (inclusive).  At the instruction of the Head of State, differentiated grants with partial tuition fees were introduced for the first time this year.

 150 differentiated grants were allocated for the GOP "Pedagogical Sciences" and "Social Sciences, Journalism and Information". Also, 3,903 grants have been allocated for applicants under the Serpin program. The list of grants also includes 5,000 targeted educational grants for young people from densely populated, newly educated and western regions to study at leading universities.
