KRU hosted an evening meeting between students of legal specialties and Georgiy Kim, former Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"It is a great honor for me to meet with future lawyers," said Georgiy Kim opening the meeting.
Georgiy Kim has extensive professional experience, not only in the field of jurisprudence but also in public service. He previously served as Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, the Judicial System, and Law Enforcement Agencies of the VII convocation. He has come a long way from investigator of the Internal Affairs Department of the Karaganda Regional Executive Committee to Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was elected to the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan twice. Therefore, he has much to share and tell future lawyers.
During the conversation, he spoke to students about a new profession – digital lawyer. He also touched upon important issues such as cybersecurity, digitalization of services, including education, and discussed the concept of a fair Kazakhstan. Georgiy Kim expressed his, including philosophical, perspective on all the processes taking place in our society. All his statements and thoughts were quite interesting, as they sparked a flurry of questions, which he readily answered.
Both the students and the guest expressed hope that this was not the last meeting.
