Today, at the A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, a large-scale regional career forum for veterinarians "Path to Success-2023!" was held, which was attended by heads of regional and district veterinary stations and centers, limited liability companies, peasant farms, and representatives of other private organizations. Representatives of peasant livestock farms in the North Kazakhstan Region and Deputy Head of the Border Guard Service Department of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kostanay Region, Lieutenant Colonel Serik Toleukhanov, also took part in the forum.

The Forum's Main Goal: Securing Graduates' Futures

The forum's main goal is to provide 2023 graduates of the "Veterinary Medicine" and "Veterinary Sanitation" educational programs with up-to-date information about career opportunities and vacancies in the veterinary service, as well as to assist them in finding employment. For the university, the employment of graduates is one of the main and priority tasks.

Highlighting Success and Support

The forum moderator, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Digitalization Zhexis Zharlygasov, noted in his welcoming speech that over the past three years, the university has trained over 200 specialists in the field of "Veterinary Medicine," and the employment rate for this specialty is one of the highest, at 91.0%. It is planned to graduate 53 young specialists in the current academic year.

Opportunities in the Veterinary Service

The local government's veterinary service in the Kostanay Region was represented by the head of the "Veterinary Administration of the Kostanay Regional Akimat," Akhat Shektybayev. In his speech, he mentioned that the veterinary service of the Kostanay Region is represented by the Veterinary Administration and its subordinate organizations – 20 veterinary stations in districts and cities, and 206 veterinary centers in villages and rural districts.  Therefore, there is always a need for veterinary personnel in the region. Addressing the 2023 graduates, he talked about state support measures for young specialists. Along with this, he noted that subordinate veterinary stations will provide employees with a health allowance equal to two job salaries during their paid leave.  Thanks to the state program "With a Diploma to the Village!", young specialists will be able to take advantage of a subsidized loan to purchase their own housing and a non-refundable one-time allowance!
