Today, the Dunhuang International Exhibition Center (China) is hosting a major forum that has gathered university representatives from around the world.
A delegation from Baitursynuly University is actively participating in this international event.
The forum program includes the signing ceremony of agreements within the Belt and Road University Alliance, as well as the presentation of a key document — the Dunhuang Consensus 2025.
“The plenary session left a lasting impression. Leading experts, university rectors, and academic representatives from various countries shared valuable insights,” said Elmira Nauryzbayeva, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Baitursynuly University.
“The discussions addressed crucial issues in education, science, culture, and international cooperation. The forum reaffirmed that the Belt and Road Initiative is not just about economics — it’s about sharing knowledge, values, and moving forward together.”
She added:
“Participating in this event gave me a chance to personally connect with the rich history of Dunhuang, once a hub on the ancient Silk Road and now once again uniting cultures and nations.”
The Dunhuang Forum is a dialogue about the future, built on mutual understanding and trust, opening new horizons for joint projects.
Also, KRU's Head of the Department of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, Kalybek Maulenov, presented a report in the section: AI-Driven Transformation in Higher Education and Cultural Heritage Innovation.
During the forum, new opportunities emerged for expanding the university’s international partnerships. A notable outcome was an agreement to open a Chinese language learning center, which will further strengthen academic and cultural exchanges.
Moreover, discussions included the development of joint research projects in plant sciences, paving the way for long-term collaborations focused on deepening scientific cooperation and implementing innovative solutions.
Participation in the forum marks an important step in reinforcing Baitursynuly University’s global ties and lays the groundwork for future initiatives that integrate science and education through international collaboration.
