New Student Houses have been opened at Baitursynuly University.
The week at the Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly began with the grand opening of another House of Students.Four three-storey buildings are designed for 324 people. Now the university has completely closed the students' need for a dormitory.
In the new Student House, cozy rooms are designed for 2, 3, 4 people. There are kitchens on the floors, a washing room and a storage room in the basement. Educational and leisure spaces have been thought out to make it comfortable for children to study and communicate. The plans include the opening of a fitness club and a store.
Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov addressed the students at the grand opening:
- We are purposefully working to reduce the shortage of places in dormitories. Now you do not need to rent apartments, as you will all be provided with places in the hostel.
Separately, the head of the region noted the strengthening of the position of Baitursynuly University in the direction of international cooperation – the launch of a double-degree program in KRU with the University of Minnesota (USA).
- I am sure that next year the number of students participating in this program will increase significantly.
Rector of the KRU Seitbek Kuanyshbayev stressed:
- We are directing all our efforts to create favorable conditions for comfortable study and life of our students. The university has eliminated the shortage of places in dormitories by 100 percent. This is very important especially for nonresident students, for children from the village. Today we are creating such conditions for young people to study so that tomorrow our graduates will make a significant contribution to the development of the country.
