Miracles for Alice

Students from Baitursynuly University made the dream of a little girl from the charitable project "Life at Hand" come true.

As a reminder, this project has been running for over ten years under the Kostanay News newspaper, helping children in need of expensive medical treatment.

At the end of the year, together with the people of Kostanay, the project coordinators congratulate boys and girls by fulfilling their New Year wishes.

Our students joined this kind and generous tradition.

7-year-old Alice Vasilovskaya had asked Santa Claus for a Tamagotchi and a set of pencil figurines from the animated series Lady Bug. Simple childhood dreams. How could we not make them come true?!

Alice has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and requires regular rehabilitation sessions. This is undoubtedly a challenge, but the girl is patient and incredibly positive.

She also has a wonderful mom, which makes it easier to cope with health issues.

The initiative to buy gifts for Alice came from the Youth Policy Department of KRU.

Students actively supported this idea and have been holding charity events at the university since November.

With the money raised, they bought not only what Alice had asked for, but also other toys and sweets.

Additionally, specialists from our Youth Policy Department took on the roles of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden for the morning party for children from the Life at Hand project.

We thank everyone who supported this wonderful initiative! When Alice opened her gifts, it was true happiness. That magical moment when a dream comes true.

New Year is a magical time that teaches us both to receive and to give.

We are proud of our colleagues and students. Santa Claus couldn’t ask for better helpers.
