Baitursynuly University hosted a roundtable discussion titled "International Anti-Corruption Day 2024: Interesting Facts."
Representatives from the Anti-Corruption Agency, legal experts, scholars, and students gathered to discuss pressing issues and share ideas on fostering an anti-corruption culture in society.
The event was organized by the Department of Theory of State and Law at KRU.
"Academic integrity and an anti-corruption culture are fundamental to our university," stated Aidar BAIKIN, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Law. "We must eradicate even the slightest manifestations of corruption. This is a shared responsibility that requires a systematic approach."
Rustem Tokbergenov, First Deputy Head of the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Kostanay region, spoke about measures that have already proven effective on a national scale.
Madiyar Qalkamanuly, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Kabylbayev, introduced participants to the implementation results of the Integrity Check system within law enforcement agencies.
