Today, a book by Pavel DATSENKO, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, was presented at Baitursynuly University.
The presentation was organized by students and teachers of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the KRU as part of the republican project "Batyrlarga tagzym".
The book by the Kostanay front-line soldier is called "We drove the enemy from Kursk".
This is a unique publication. It reflects the fate of our fellow countryman.
In addition, the appendix to the book is a combat path, which the front-line soldier himself drew in detail.
Pavel Vasilyevich fought from the age of 18. He began his soldier's path from Kursk and reached Vienna, where he met Victory Day.
He stood at the forefront of counterintelligence and participated in secret operations.
After the war, he served in the State Security Committee and retired with the rank of colonel.
This year, the veteran celebrated his 100th anniversary. Many media outlets reported this. And they recalled the story of how our fellow countryman was saved.
At the front, his wristwatch saved his life. He was wounded so badly that the medics thought he was dead. A funeral notice had already arrived home, and the soldier was in the hospital at that time.
One of the soldiers passing by looked at Datsenko's watch. At that moment, the bloody soldier moved. And he was saved.
A note was given to Pavel Datsenko at the medical battalion, which said what role that watch played in his fate.
Unfortunately, Pavel Vasilyevich was unable to attend the presentation. The KRU representatives will definitely congratulate the front-line soldier on the holiday at home.
