The P. Chuzhinov Institute of Economics and Law held a meeting between students, faculty, and representatives of the regional prosecutor's office. The guests included: Janibek Bakayev, Deputy Prosecutor of the Kostanay region, Akku Shaimerdenova, veteran of the prosecutor's office, Tomiris Ismagulvoa, polygraph expert and psychologist in the personnel service.
The guests spoke to future lawyers about joining the prosecutor's office, highlighting the unique aspects and advantages of the profession. They also presented a video film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor of the Kazakh SSR, U.S. Seitov, and awarded students who participated in the nationwide essay competition.
Utegen Seitovich, a "Honored Jurist of the Kazakh SSR" and a "Honored Prosecutor's Office Worker," was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. He worked as an investigator and held the position of Prosecutor of the Kazakh SSR for 18 years from 1966 to 1984.
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of U.S. Seitov's birth, who made an invaluable contribution to strengthening the rule of law in the country, 2023 was declared "Seitov Year" for the prosecutor's office.
As part of the anniversary celebration, an essay competition was held on the theme "Сейітов ізбасары" (Seitov, the Leader) among students and trainees of universities. Students from the "Jurisprudence," "International Law," and "Judicial and Law Enforcement Activities" programs of the P. Chuzhinov Institute of Economics and Law participated in the competition.
Based on the essay competition results, the Institute of Economics and Law students who participated were awarded diplomas and letters of gratitude signed by Lieutenant General of Justice E.S. Merzadinov.
