The A. Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University was visited by the director of American projects, advisor to the President of the University of Arizona, Hugh Hollman, Vice President of this university, Daniel Palm, and Senior Advisor of "Catalina Global", Professor Harvey Charles. A tour of the university's educational buildings and research centers was organized specifically for our U.S. colleagues.
Foreign guests familiarized themselves with the works of university scientists, start-up projects of young scientists, research conducted in scientific centers, and the potential of the university.
As it is known, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, has repeatedly spoken about opening branches of leading foreign universities in Kazakhstan in order to attract applicants' interest to Kazakhstani universities. This was the main purpose of the visit by U.S. guests to our university. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual collaboration between universities.
We hope that the results of the negotiations will become known in the near future.
