Announcement of the Competition for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Second Half of the 2026 Calendar Year

Dear Students, Applications for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the second half of 2026 are being accepted until June 5, 2026.
The allocation of scholarships among higher education institutions is determined proportionally to the number of full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Higher education institutions with fewer than 700 full-time undergraduate and graduate students are not eligible for scholarship allocation.
Eligibility Requirements
The scholarship is awarded to:
Full-time undergraduate students starting from the 3rd year of study;
Graduate students starting from the 2nd year of study;
Applicants must have an academic record consisting exclusively of excellent grades (“A”, “A-”), regardless of whether they study under the state educational grant or on a tuition-paying basis.
The scholarship is awarded to students who:
are winners of national and international Olympiads, creative competitions, sports competitions, festivals, or are authors of scientific discoveries and inventions;
have publications in collections of scientific papers, national and international academic journals;
are actively engaged in research activities, confirmed by diplomas, certificates, awards, and other supporting documents;
actively participate in the social, cultural, and sports life of the educational institution.
Only achievements obtained during the 2025–2026 academic year and supported by official documents will be considered.
Selection Procedure
Applicants must upload scanned copies of all supporting documents to the Platonus system and submit an electronic package of high-quality scanned documents to the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs of the institute.
Applicants who fail to upload supporting documents to Platonus will not be admitted to the competition.
The Deputy Dean for Student Affairs verifies the submitted documents for compliance with the requirements and forwards them to the Secretary of the Commission by June 5, 2026.
The Commission reviews and analyzes the submitted documents for further consideration at the meeting of the University Academic Council.
Selection is carried out in accordance with the eligibility requirements. In case of equal conditions, preference is given to:
applicants with the highest cumulative GPA;
orphans and students left without parental care;
persons with disabilities since childhood and students with disabilities.
The University Academic Council makes an individual decision regarding the awarding of the Presidential Scholarship for each applicant.
The scholarship is awarded by order of the Rector of the higher education institution based on the decision of the Academic Council.
Required Documents for Participation
Application addressed to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University for participation in the competition for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakh and Russian templates available). File name:Surname_application.doc
Copy of the applicant’s identification document. File name:Surname_ID.doc
Academic transcript for the entire period of study, including results of all examinations from the summer session of the 2025–2026 academic year and internship results. The transcript must be requested through the applicant’s personal Platonus account. File name:Surname_transcript.doc
Scanned copies of documents confirming the applicant’s achievements during the 2025–2026 academic year (diplomas, certificates, awards, etc.). Each supporting document must be scanned as a separate file: Surname_DocumentName
All supporting documents must be collected in a folder named: Surname_PersonalAchievements
The scanned application, ID copy, transcript, and the folder containing personal achievements must be compiled into one main folder named: Surname Name Patronymic

The document package must be submitted to the Deputy Director of the Institute / Deputy Dean for Student Affairs no later than June 5, 2026.
