Announcement of the Competition for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Second Half of the 2026 Calendar Year

Dear Students, Applications for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the second half of 2026 are being accepted until June 5, 2026.

The procedure for awarding the Presidential Scholarship is carried out in accordance with the Rules for the Award of Scholarships Established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by Order No. 136 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 7, 2011.

The allocation of scholarships among higher education institutions is determined proportionally to the number of full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Higher education institutions with fewer than 700 full-time undergraduate and graduate students are not eligible for scholarship allocation.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. The scholarship is awarded to:
    • Full-time undergraduate students starting from the 3rd year of study;
    • Graduate students starting from the 2nd year of study;

Applicants must have an academic record consisting exclusively of excellent grades (“A”, “A-”), regardless of whether they study under the state educational grant or on a tuition-paying basis.

Selection Procedure

Selection is carried out in accordance with the eligibility requirements. In case of equal conditions, preference is given to:

The University Academic Council makes an individual decision regarding the awarding of the Presidential Scholarship for each applicant.

The scholarship is awarded by order of the Rector of the higher education institution based on the decision of the Academic Council.

Required Documents for Participation

  1. Application addressed to the Chairman of the Board – Rector of A. Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University for participation in the competition for the Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakh and Russian templates available).

  2. Copy of the applicant’s identification document.
    File name: Surname_ID.doc
  3. Academic transcript for the entire period of study, including results of all examinations from the summer session of the 2025–2026 academic year and internship results.
    The transcript must be requested through the applicant’s personal Platonus account.

  4. Scanned copies of documents confirming the applicant’s achievements during the 2025–2026 academic year (diplomas, certificates, awards, etc.).
    Each supporting document must be scanned as a separate file:

    All supporting documents must be collected in a folder named:
    Surname_PersonalAchievements

  5. The scanned application, ID copy, transcript, and the folder containing personal achievements must be compiled into one main folder named:
    Surname Name Patronymic
