Biography

Born on May 15, 1952, in the village of Chisty Chandak, Fyodorovsky District, Kostanay Region, Kazakh SSR.

Education

  • Graduated in 1974 from the Kostanay Branch of the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute. Qualification: Agronomist Scientist.

Professional Experience

  • 1974 Researcher at the Department of Crop Production, Karabalyk Experimental Agricultural Station, Kostanay Region.
  • 1976-1979 Assistant Lecturer, then Lecturer at the Department of Crop Production, Kostanay Branch of the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute.
  • 1979-1983 Head of the Department for Working and Rural Youth, Kostanay Regional Committee of the Komsomol (LKSM).
  • 1983-1988 Instructor, Deputy Head of Department, Kostanay Regional Committee of the Communist Party.
  • 1988-1992 First Secretary of the Ubagan (now Altynsarin) District Committee of the Communist Party, Executive Committee, and the Council of People's Deputies.
  • Since 1992 Vice President, later President of the Joint-Stock Company KostanayLeasingInvest.
  • Dec. 2009-2013 Deputy Akim of Kostanay Region.
  • Mar. 4, 2013-2016 First Deputy Akim of Kostanay Region.
  • Since 2016 Chairman of the Board of Directors of LLP Geobyte-Info.

Elected Positions and Parliamentary Service

  • 1999-2005 Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2nd convocation) representing Kostanay Region.
  • Since 2005 Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan (3rd convocation) representing Kostanay Region, Member of the Standing Committee on Agrarian Issues and Environmental Protection.
  • December 11, 2008 -Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Issues and Environmental Protection.

Political Affiliation

  • 1982-1991 Member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU).
  • 2000-2006 Member of the Agrarian Party (later merged with the People's Democratic Party Nur Otan).
