Review of the Dual-Degree Program at Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania)
«Studying abroad is undoubtedly an important and valuable experience. Learning in another country provides unique opportunities for personal and professional growth.
I am a bachelor’s student enrolled in the dual-degree program and am currently in my third year at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, studying the Accounting and Finance program. Here are some aspects I have noticed while living here:
- Cultural enrichment: Living in a different country allows me to immerse myself in a new culture, learn local traditions, language, and customs. This broadens my horizons and helps me become more tolerant and understanding of other cultures.
- Academic opportunities: Studying abroad provides access to high-quality programs and professors from different countries. We have the chance to study subjects that may be unavailable or less developed in our home country.
- International connections: The program offers an excellent opportunity to establish contacts and build networks with people from around the world. These connections can be valuable for future career opportunities and open up new prospects.
- Adaptation skills: Living abroad requires adapting to new conditions, language, customs, and an unfamiliar educational system. At first, it can be challenging, but over time, it becomes easier. This experience improves adaptability, communication skills, and self-confidence.
- Travel opportunities: Another great advantage is the ability to travel across the European Union while holding a residence permit. I have the chance to see some of the most beautiful places on the planet and visit highly desired countries and cities.
Overall, studying abroad has been a highly valuable experience that will positively impact my future life and career. I am very grateful to our university for providing such an incredible opportunity.»
