Review of Studying at Dong-Eui University (South Korea)

«I studied in South Korea at Dong-Eui University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. My expectations for the program were positive, and the university fully met them. In addition to the core academic program, I had the opportunity to take language courses, where I started learning Korean from scratch.

The professors at Dong-Eui University were very kind and supportive. They used unique teaching approaches that made the classes both interesting and effective. I would especially like to highlight the language courses, where I studied alongside students from other countries. This not only helped improve my language skills but also allowed for a rich cultural exchange. At the end of the course, it was possible to receive a certificate confirming one’s Korean language proficiency.

The university’s infrastructure also made a very positive impression. I was provided with comfortable on-campus housing, and the campus offered free shuttle buses, numerous cafeterias, and sports centers. A small note: the local food is quite spicy, but this is part of the culture, which you quickly learn to appreciate. The sports facilities on campus were free to use, which was a big advantage for students.

Studying abroad allowed me to significantly improve my language skills, thanks to interactions with guides, professors, and students from different countries. This experience helped me better understand Korean culture and speak the language more fluently.

Regarding career prospects, studying in South Korea noticeably enhanced my employment opportunities back home. Kazakhstan actively collaborates with Korean companies, many of which establish factories locally, making the knowledge and experience gained in Korea particularly valuable.

I highly recommend that every student experience studying abroad. It is not only an opportunity to receive a quality education but also a chance to explore a new culture, acquire useful skills, and make friends from around the world.»
