Review of the Dual-Degree Program at Vytautas Magnus University

«Although the decision to study in Europe was made on short notice, it has proven to be one of the best decisions of my life. Throughout the summer, we prepared and collected documents, improved our English skills, and in October 2023, we arrived in Lithuania to begin our studies. (Our arrival was slightly delayed due to waiting for residence permits.) Since the semester had already started in September, we began our studies online from Kazakhstan.

Courses at Vytautas Magnus University are conducted in English. If needed, the university offers English language courses, allowing students to improve their language skills without interrupting their main studies.

We are taught by some of the best European specialists in accounting, including Professor Danutė Zinkavičienė, Professor Vesa Niskanen, and Professor Erika Besusparienė.

According to the dual-degree program agreement, we will study in Lithuania for one academic year. This means we will complete our third year in Lithuania and then return to Kazakhstan to finish our studies at our home university. Upon graduation, we will receive two diplomas: one from Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly and one from Vytautas Magnus University.

The dual-degree program allows us to earn two diplomas within just four years of study. Since Lithuania is part of the European Union, graduates have the opportunity to pursue employment across Europe.

Vytautas Magnus University provides comfortable accommodation for international students, with fees ranging from approximately €100 to €140 per month.»
