During the internship period, according to the approved program, all assigned tasks were successfully completed.
The educational experience in training specialists in veterinary medicine and food safety was studied; scientific research related to ensuring the safety of animal-derived products and raw materials was conducted; phenotypic and genotypic resistance of bacteria isolated from raw materials was investigated; a comparative analysis of bacterial isolates from Kaunas and Kostanay region was carried out.
The results of the scientific internship within the framework of the “500 Scientists” project in the field of Veterinary Medicine were published as a joint article in a journal recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled: “Investigation of microbiological parameters of chicken raw materials at trade facilities in Kaunas.”
During the internship, participation in the following events was carried out:
- 17.04.2024 Visit to the Practical Training Center for Veterinarians and Testing (PMBC) at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences; visit to the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Wildlife Care Center (LGGC).
- 24.04–25.04.2024 Participation in the international scientific-practical conference “Spring Education 2024: How Not to Get Lost in the Simulation Maze?”
- 26.04.2024 Participation in the Congress of Microbiologists of Lithuania and the scientific conference “Microbiology 2024.”
- 30.04.2024 Participation in the preliminary defense of master’s theses of second-year Veterinary Medicine students.
- 14.05-15.05.2024 Attendance of lectures by scholars from the University of Teramo (Italy, Pisa) on “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Practice.”
- 18.05.2024 Visit to the Zoological Park and Zoological Museum to study the use of park collections in student and master’s level research and education.
- 20.05.2024 Visit to a livestock complex to study the implementation of HACCP standards.
- 28.05.2024 Visit to the National Milk Research Center “Pieno Tyrimai” to study European practices of milk analysis in Kaunas, Lithuania.
- 29.05.2024 Visit to a pedigree sheep farm for the preservation of the Lithuanian sheep breed gene pool; study of slaughtering technology and the implementation of HACCP standards at the LSMU Institute of Animal Science.
- 30.05.2024 Visit to the fish processing enterprise “NORVELITA” and the fish farm “Raseiniu Zuvininkyste” to study the experience of implementing and using HACCP standards and production control methods.
