International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers “Akhinjanov Readings – 2026”

On April 20–22, 2026, the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, in cooperation with Akhmet Baitursynov Kostanay Regional University, will hold the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers “Akhinjanov Readings – 2026”.

The conference will be organized in the following thematic areas:

• History of archaeological research in Kazakhstan. The role of personality in science;
• Archaeology of the Stone Age and Paleometal Period;
• Kazakhstan in the Early Iron Age;
• Archaeology of the Medieval Period;
• Interdisciplinary research in archaeology;
• Issues of ethnoarchaeology and current challenges in the preservation and use of historical and cultural heritage.

Working languages of the conference: Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The conference is planned to be held in both online and offline formats.
