On November 28, 2024, Suraganovich Zhursin Syzdykov, senior lecturer of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Baitursynuly University's Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, celebrates his 63rd birthday.
After graduating from the Almaty Zooveterinary Institute, Zhursin Suraganovich dedicated his entire life to animal product production and education. As a representative of a sought-after proficiency in Veterinary Medicine, he held various leadership positions throughout the years, including: Veterinary doctor of Druzhba state farm in the Kamystinsky district, Chief veterinary doctor and director of the Orkash state farm in the Kamystinsky district, Deputy chief veterinary doctor of the Denisov Veterinary Station, Head of the veterinary department at “Мал дәрігер,” Chief veterinary doctor of Karaman K LLP in the Karasu district of Kostanay region.
Since 2011, Zhursin Suraganovich's professional career has been related to KRU, where, as a lecturer of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, he has achieved remarkable success in educational, methodological, scientific, and mentoring work, eventually being promoted to senior lecturer.
During his tenure as an advisor, his students earned prestigious awards in Republican Student Olympiads held in Almaty and received certificates and awards from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He actively participated in training veterinary specialists under the “Serpin” program for veterinary services across the country's regions.
By being the person responsible for career guidance activities in the department, he frequently visited districts and cities across the Kostanay region, as well as Taldykorgan, to conduct outreach among prospective students and high school graduates. It wasn't without his involvement that the distance education programs for veterinary college graduates and higher education students had launched in pursuit of a shortened bachelor's degree program.
The contributions of our esteemed colleague have been recognized with several departmental awards: Certificates of appreciation from the university rector (Kostanay, 2016, 2023), Honorary diploma of Kazakhstan Branch Professional Union of Education and Science Workers (Nur-Sultan, 2019), Letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana, 2024).
